answers from the school district superintendent she is having a news conference. there's a memorial, a lot of people still hold james izumizaki in very high regard. the man arrested for committing lewd acts with a minor last week, found dead from an apparent suicide yesterday morning. last night word was getting around what what happened. police state body of the 28-year-old mr. i, as students called him was found in a car yesterday morning apparently suicide. we are told he left a note. very popular on campus students called him mr. i, last wednesday arrested for lewd acts with a minor under four teen. despite this mr. i, still -- held by some in very high regard. >> when my parents got divorced, from that point on he was like my big brother.

he was big influence in my life and still is. >> brokenness and sadness all the way around. that's what the whole community is holding, wanting to make sure our children are safe at the same time we know him and how do we honor his life also. >> reporter: mr. izumizaki taught class here, he coached basketball, volleyball. he went to albany middle, graduated from the high school out here he was out on bail. his next court appears was scheduled for later this month. a couple of questions that will be asked at that news conference. number one what did the note say? many other questions as well for the school district and police, including he was arrested last wednesday, scheduled for arraignment last friday but the case continued. he never was charged in the case only arrested.

why was that? how was the case going? again, what did that note say? terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. developing news from oakland. right now police are investigating two late night shootings that left two men dead. police are still investigating whether the shootings may be connected. amtrak service not up and running this morning crews worked through the night in the central valley to remove two derailed cars and locomotive from the damaged tracks. 170 passengers were onboard, traveling from oakland to bakersfield yesterday when it was mit by a big rig south of fresno -- 20 suffered minor to moderate injuries. investigators state truck carrying cotton trash failed to yield and hit the train at

a crossing equipped gates to stop traffic. we'll have a live report from kira klapper. this morning, investigators in santa rosa are lookinging for a serial arsonist three buildings were targeted, two churches downtown and engineering office. lilian kim has the story. >> reporter: this is the worst of the damage doors at the catholic church downtown santa rosa charred. it could have been worse had a priest not heard the sound of the molotov cocktail shattering. the staff says he doused the fire with water as soon as he could. >> nobody has been hurt. it is the doors of the church damaged. that is a disappointment. but we'll get over that. >> reporter: investigators say whoever threw the molotov cocktail also targeted the

episcopal church minutes before. no damage here, the fire department says the device failed. another molotov cocktail did ignite at the offices of a civil engineering firm. flames charred the outside of the building and melted an irrigation pipe before a janitor put the fire out. >> i think something like this happens not somebody thinking clearily or making reasonable decisions, just random target. >> reporter: investigators have collected most of the pieces of the bottles and are looking them over for prints. they fear the person responsible will strike again. >> i'm sure there's a level of disappointment there wasn't more success in attempt to ignite the building. we don't want to encourage that. we don't want to motivate this person for a follow-up. >> reporter: lilian kim, abc7 news. oakland a's fans kept the celebration under control overnight. police say they didn't have major incidents after the team

the way out to even the coast we could see 80s this afternoon. jet stream well north, we see a little northern surge of clouds and cooler weather. that is going to come in tomorrow. for today, starting off i'd say by 7:00, around 60°, maybe 50 at the coast. look how quickly it gets into the mid 90s by noon inland 81 bay, 74 coast, 101 at 4:00 inland, 93 around the bay coast starts cooling late in the afternoon into the evening. 63 at 7:00, bay 83 and 90 at 7:00 inland. next three days drop, 90 tomorrow, 100 today, 90 tomorrow to 80 friday inland, 20° drop from 90s today to mid 70s by friday around the bay near 80 today to about 58 for a high by friday.

yesterday's crash with another boat this morning authorities arrested crewmembers from both boats. they are accused of endangering passengers by operating the boats unsafely. the ferry was taking party-goers to a fireworks show. incredible video, fireball exploding in the skies over canada. fire broke out at a warehouse that stores methanol used by racing car companies. the result, huge plumes of smoke and fireballs that kept erupting into the air. firefighters had to back off from the towering flames because it became too dangerous to fight. search is on for two thiefs who made off with two million dollars in gold and other minerals from mariposa at the state mining and mineral museum last friday police shown, searched but
